DESCRIPTION
The Multi-Outlet Rotary Valve is the latest generation in special valves designed to meet the industry's material processing needs. Rotary valves are used to direct material flow at one of several possible discharge points. A rotating inner chute is rotated, sending material into the desired discharge. Adaptable features and operation mean that this valve can be used in a variety of materials, across a wide range of industries.
J&H's industrial equipment knowledge and AUMA's control knowledge combined resulted in the construction of an efficient, simple, and robust valve. AUMA's AC02.1 programmable actuator controller is what makes this project possible. Since all controls, positioning, setting limits and connections are on the actuator, valve design can be optimized in a basic and efficient way for ease of fabrication and use.
The controller uses digital inputs, commanding the internal rail to the desired position. This means that the plant operator or DCS controls the valve. The selection of the next position need not be sequential or in some pre-determined direction. Where the valve is located depends solely on the needs of the plant and where the material needs to be shipped. This control can be manual or automated, depending on the sophistication of your plant's operating system. If you are routing material in different plants or different process plants that operate at different rates, the slower process position can be skipped periodically without prejudice to processes that need more material or that operate at a higher production rate. This helps in the optimal distribution of this valuable material.
The valve is designed for simplicity and ease of use. Wide side access doors provide unrestricted access to the interior of the valve for any type of inspection and maintenance. Holes in the underside of the machinery are designed to automatically eliminate excess production.
