DESCRIPTION
The J&H heating system applies a low voltage to the sieve screen, turning the entire screen into a heater. The screen is electrically isolated from the sieve frame. The required power for voltage is supplied by a rugged J&H transformer built inside a ventilated enclosure. Registers on the transformer allow the output voltage to be adjusted between 3 and 12 volts, in 6 positions. A continuous secondary current of up to 1000 amps can be applied (up to 1300 amps can be applied in short periods of time). All power goes through an ON-OFF button and the standard is equipped with a safety trigger, which protects the system from high electrical arcs.
The heating system can be installed on standard J&H screens as well as on the Vector Drive. Robust electrical plumbers transport power from the transformer to two connection points on the screen. In the Vector Drive vibrating body sieve, two small, flexible braided cables are used to connect the electrical plumbers to the screen. Rigid bars can be factory or custom. The location of the transformer box in relation to the screen must be accurately determined for prefabricated plumbers.
The heating system cannot correct poor processing, materials with moisture out of specification or very acidic contents, but it can significantly increase sieving efficiency in some cases. For other situations, contact your J&H representative to discuss the feasibility of the heating system for your desired application.
