The BEAS-01 Bucket Elevator Sampler is a device designed to deliver optimal results when sampling solid particles from bucket elevators. In certain plant layouts, it is advantageous\u2014and often the only viable solution\u2014to collect samples at the outlet of the bucket elevator. The BEAS-01 is flanged directly onto the elevator head and can be operated in different ways to meet the needs of your operation.<\/p>\n

The BEAS-01 is equipped with small, removable internal cups that sample the descending flow of material exiting the elevator by region, allowing the user to identify, among other things, the presence of segregation caused in the elevator feed. In this way, the user can correct problems downstream of the equipment caused by segregation, such as impacts on screening or the uniformity of the final product. This design ensures sampling free of bias and random errors, which are characteristic of manual sampling.<\/p>\n

The BEAS-01 is operated by pneumatic valves controlled by a micro PLC, allowing for numerous sampling configurations. This equipment is specifically designed to operate in the harsh environments of chemical plants and to remain online for as long as possible. To this end, it is constructed of 304L or 316L stainless steel. Essentially, the pneumatic actuator extends the receptacle containing the sampling cups into the elevator so that they can intercept the downward flow of material discharged by the elevator buckets. After collection, another pneumatic actuator retracts this receptacle to its original position outside the elevator. From there, the mechanism is activated to discharge the sampled contents into the external collection container so that the operator can retrieve the collected samples.<\/p>\n

Maintenance is quick and easy because the sample cups are easy to remove and can be quickly replaced with new ones while the full ones are being processed. Everything is done using quick-release couplings and pins.<\/p>\n

The collected material flows by gravity into the external container of your choice, which holds the samples so they can be removed and taken to the laboratory for analysis.<\/p>\n
